Lots going on this week!
New
Metro-North schedules going into effect May 11th will cut a
few minutes off of the ride to Grand Central.
Nationwide home
prices are up
nearly 13% year-over-year, after ongoing slowdowns in the last few
months.
The latest trend in
homes? Smart
technology. From voice-controlled thermostats to touchscreen locks,
today’s houses are smarter than ever.
Spring is a great time to take in some local art—and you
don’t have to be in NYC to experience the best and brightest from the art
world. Here’s what’s going on this weekend:
Englewood’s Mark Gallery is hosting America
Martin’s “America’s Women” paintings and works on paper, Mondays through
Saturdays until 6pm.
The Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor
has its “AftermodernisM Spring 2014” exhibit on display through the summer.
Next up is “Garden Party,” complete with outdoor sculptures, paintings, costume
fabrics and more.
Looking in Greenwich?
Check out the Historical Society’s
“Enjoying the Country Life: Greenwich’s Great Estates” for a peek at the
history of this illustrious town.
The Upstream
Gallery’s “The Inner Self” by Allen M.
Hart will be on display in Hastings-on-Hudson through May 25th.
Enjoy the weekend and enjoy exploring these and other great
suburbs!
