OUT & ABOUT IN THE 'BURBS THIS WEEKEND: JUNE 12-14, 2015
Happy Friday! With summer in full swing, it’s a
great time to get up and go—to some
great suburbs, some great family-friendly activities and some great must-sees in your (potential!) new
community. Because looking at the current market conditions, all signs point to
“buy!”
50% of homes
are sold during the summer—so you won’t be the only newbie on the block if you
make a move now
Mortgage rates are still sitting below 4%--higher,
sure, but still at historic lows
And—bonus!—it’s
easier to get bigger mortgages, jumbo loans and other non-conventional
loans
Need a quick, fun stopover this weekend, as
you’re touring new towns? Check out a classic family activity—stop by a petting
zoo! Here’s some of our faves:
Just 45 minutes from NYC, Fosterfields in
Morristown is a living historical farm, and home to horses, cows, pigs, goats,
chicks, ducks and sheep
In Stamford, Runabout
Farm is a must-do, with ponies, goats, bunnies, ducks, chickens and much
more
White Post Farms in
Melville is open daily from 10AM-6PM. In addition to a top notch petting zoo,
your kids can ride a pony, watch an all-chicken band and even ride a mini train
Somers’ Muscoot Farm offers 7 miles of
hiking trails, farm-to-table meals, a lush farmers’ market and loads of animals
for your kids to meet
