It’s almost the weekend! If you’re like us the next
few days are no doubt filled with open houses and scoping the latest and the
greatest in your soon-to-be neighborhoods. So what else is going on?
Is subprime
lending coming back? Banks are beginning to lower their FICO score requirements, dipping below the typical 640. Carrington Mortgage Services, for
example, will go as low as 550 now.
What you need to know about home
appraisals, including what to do if yours comes back lower than
anticipated.
Not only will rates be higher down the road, but
fixed-rate mortgages could be a
thing of the past in the future.
Lastly, while you’re out exploring, bring your favorite four-legged
friend! Here’s some great dog parks across Westchester, Long Island,
Connecticut and New Jersey.
It’s not a dog park, but a dog BEACH in Larchmont. The
Doggie Beach at New Smyrna has no restrictions and is 100% off-leash during low
tide.
The Brookdale Dog Park
in Montclair has a separate large and small dog run, dedicated doggie drinking
fountains and even obstacles for your pooch to play on. And there’s tons of
well-shaded seating for you!
Check out Spencer’s
Run at Waveny Park in New Canaan if you’re heading up to CT. The fenced-in
dog area is great for dogs of all sizes, and is set in a gorgeous New England
park.
For the Long Island-bound, Christopher
Morley Park in Roslyn Estates is where it’s at! In addition to a 9-hole
golf course and community pool, the park has a large fenced-in run for dogs,
completed with picnic tables, seating and more.
Enjoy the weekend and have fun scouting those soon-to-be
neighborhoods!
