Mortgages Jump 0.5%
Biggest single-week gains in 26 years 

Thirty-year fixed-rate mortgages rose significantly this
past week, increasing from 3.93% to 4.46%. This hike
marks the single greatest increase since 1987. The
jump comes on the heels of the Fed's recent remarks
that it may reduce its bond purchase program, which
has helped keep mortgage rates so low in recent
